Welcome!

Welcome to 2011.

I cannot believe it’s already June and the Art Shows are already here!
This year has accelerated to the point that I shudder even to blink! As I work out of my South Minneapolis Studio, I have to wear many different hats. I teach Watercolor and Acrylic classes out of my studio, which has proven how a little creative coaxing can be incredibly rewarding and fun. Not only do I produce all the prints and note cards of my artwork, I also produce prints and note cards for about 150 other artists. This year has proven to be incredibly busy working on and completing several large projects.

I usually try to complete 12 or more new paintings each year. This year, so far, I have
only 6 to present. One new painting I am excited about is a quite large, 40 x 72″ Acrylic on canvas called “Meandering The Woods”, it is the largest painting I have done since the 5 murals I completed for the Claridge Project in 2005. I have included a few new links that will feature my new paintings as soon as they are completed, and what original paintings are still available and their prices. If you have a special need for size or a look, just ask, we can figure it out.

One of benefits I enjoy, is meeting and talking you to at the summer Art shows. It is a real thrill to hear the different ways my paintings have impacted you. It is a great
motivator; after all, you are far more important to me than any award I may win.
I truly enjoy and take all of your comments seriously so keep them coming.

Due to the increased volume of orders generated by this web site, I have upgraded my shipping department, now all orders will be shipped within 24 hours of receipt.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Q & A

A lot of you have asked me about the colors I use and how vivid they are. I have pondered this theory for a while, I think I have a reply.
The subject, and the impact of color on the subject, create and establishes the mood, which draws you in and engages your emotions each time you view it. I don’t really plan the colors, the colors basically control my decisions as to what is used or mixed next. It is not always automatic, sometimes it is. I have repainted several paintings to gain the
“right” look. Sometimes changing just one color can result in a complete makeover.
Creating Paintings is fun, there are times when the painting I am working on takes control and every thing just “happens”. This is definitely the sweet spot.
